The cooption into the Jewish Agency executive of seven personalities who are not members of Zionist groups was approved today by the standing committee of the Zionist Actions Committee which is meeting here. They will all have full voting rights in the executive.
The Americans among them are: Dr. Joseph Schwartz, executive vice-president of the Israel Bond organization; Dr. Dewey D. Stone, chairman of the Jewish Agency, Inc.; Prof. Simon Greenberg, provost of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America; Rabbi Emanuel Rackman, assistant to the president of Yeshiva University; and Rabbi Roland B. Gittelson, of Temple Israel, a Reform congregation in Boston.
Two Europeans added by cooption to the executive are Lord Steff, of Britain; and Dr. Astorre Mayer, president of the Jewish community of Milan, Italy. One or two members from Latin America are to be added later, it was announced.
