Seventy-five percent of the West Bank students who took high school entrance examinations passed them, the military governor of the Judaea and Samaria districts announced today. He said that 8,000 students from government and private schools and schools run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees took the examinations and 5,800 passed. It was reported earlier that 3,364 out of 4,800 West Bank high school graduates passed their matriculation exams which are recognized by institutions of higher learning in Israel, the Arab states and many foreign countries.
