Several European countries commemorated Holocaust Remembrance Day on Sunday. The events came on the 57th anniversary of the Jan. 27, 1945, liberation of Auschwitz. Germany introduced its Holocaust Remembrance Day in 1996, after which the governments of Italy, Sweden and Britain followed suit.
