Isreli Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett called on Prime Minister Winston Churchill at Number 10 Downing Street today, it was officially announced here.
The announcement said that the two Ministers discussed “matters of mutual interest.” This is the first time in a week since he was forced to take to his bed by the flu that Mr. Sharett has made an official call. It is also the first time that he has met Mr. Churchill since he became Israel’s Foreign Minister.
It was learned today that David Horowitz, director general of the Israeli Finance Ministry, is expected to arrive here tomorrow. He and Mr. Sharett will confer with the Chancellor of the Exchequer during the week-end.
