Israel Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett was still confined to bed today suffering from influenza and it appeared likely that his scheduled visit to Rome as guest of the Italian Government would have to be postponed for a week.

The Israeli Foreign Minister was to have been received by President Einaudi and Premier Alcide de Gasperi this week to discuss with the Italian leaders a number of outstanding Italian-Israeli questions. (A report from Tel Aviv today stated that the Italian Foreign Ministry had called home its Minister to Israel, Count Gustiniami, for consultation.)
