Moshe Sharett, chairman of the Jewish Agency executive, reported today that only 10 per cent of all immigrants arriving since the start of this year have refused to accept housing offered by the Agency, creating difficulties at debarkation. He added that half of the protesting newcomers finally agreed to accept the preferred housing. He was commenting on the recent incident in Haifa, where a number of immigrants were forcibly removed from their ship.
