The Israel Cabinet today heard a report presented by Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett on his recent conversations with members of the United Nations Palestine Conciliation Commission. The Cabinet also approved the composition of the Israel delegation to the United Nations General Assembly, which will convene at take Success on Sept. 19. (Reuters reported from Tel Aviv today that Mr. Sharett will lead the Jewish state’s delegation to the U.N. General Assembly.)
The Cabinet also discussed today the present economic and financial problems facing the Israel Government and considered reports and recommendations submitted by a number of economic experts. Plans to meet the economic difficulties are expected to be formulated by the Cabinet at its next meeting, which is scheduled to be held after Rosh Hashanah.
