Israel Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett and Director-General of Finance David Horowitz will represent the Government of Israel at the National Economic Conference for Israel in Washington on September 20-23, it was announced today.
The two officials will present last-minute information on Israel’s economic and financial status. Their reports will provide the basis for an intensified campaign for the $500,000,000 bond issue during the coming months.
While in the United States, Mr. Sharett will visit a number of American cities to assist in the Israel Bond Drive. He will then leave for Paris to attend the sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations. Mr. Horowitz will also visit a number of American cities to aid the Bond Drive.
