The hope that the differences between Dr. Chaim Weizmann and David Ben-Gurion will be reconciled and that both of them will remain at their posts, was expressed at a mass meeting here today by Moshe Shertok, head of the political department of the Jewish Agency.
Warning against drawing premature conclusions as to the possible effect of Ben-Gurion’s offer to resign from chairmanship of the executive of the Jewish Agency, Shertok said that the matter is too serious to become an issue for party strife. He called on the audience to insist on the admission of more Jewish refugees to Palestine.
