“shock Troops” Urged to Build Biro-bidjan Jewish State

BLAMING “UNWORTHY ELEMENTS” SUCH AS TROTSKYITES AND BUCHARINITES FOR WHAT HE CALLED RECENT-WRECKING ACTIVITIES IN BIRO-BIDJAN, SIMON DIMANTSTEIN, PRESIDENT OF THE OZET, URGED TODAY THE CREATION OF SHOCK TROOPS TO BUILD THE REGION INTO A JEWISH STATE BASED ON THE STALIN CONSTITUTION.

TROTSKYITES AND BUCHARINITES HAVE EVEN OBTAINED A POSITION IN THE OZET CENTRAL COMMITTEE, MR. DIMANTSTEIN TOLD THE FIFTH PLENARY SESSION OF THE SOCIETY FOR SETTLING THE JEWS ON THE LAND.

EMPHASIZING THE SOVIET, GOVERNMENT FAVORED BUILDING THE AUTONOMOUS FAR-EASTERN JEWISH REGION AND WAS HELPING WITH MONEY, HE SAID IT WAS NECESSARY TO FIND THE RIGHT ELEMENTS CAPABLE OF ASSISTING IN BUILDING THE REGION. THE TASK, HE SAID, REQUIRED JEWISH ART SANS AS WELL AS JEWISH WOMEN CAPABLE OF DEVELOPING AGRICULTURE IF CAREFULLY SELECTED A HANDLED.

DISCUSSING PROGRESS OF THE UPBUILDING WORK IN BIRO-BIDJAN SINCE THE LAST PLENARY MEETING TWO YEARS AGO, HE SAID THE REGION HAD GREATLY DEVELOPED, PARTICULARLY THE INDUSTRIES, SCHOOLS AND AGRICULTURE. COLLECTIVE FARMS HAVE GROWN RICHER, HE DECLARED, AND HOUSE BUILDING IS BEING DEVELOPED ON A LARGE SCALE.
