Sholem Asch, the author, sails for Europe on the Conte di Savoia tomorrow after an eight-week speaking tour in the United States and Canada in behalf of the Joint Distribution Committee. Speakers at a reception tendered to him by the committee’s Landmannschaften and Fraternal Division last night included Joseph C. Hyman, executive director of the J.D.C.; George Backer, chairman of the New York campaign; B.C. Vladock, Jonah J. Goldstein and Jacob Fishman and S. Dingol.
