Sholem Asch, the author, will sail tomorrow on the Conte di Savoia for a six-week visit to the United States in behalf of the fund-raising campaign of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.
“Interested in the Jewish situation in Poland, I responded to the Joint Distribution Committee’s call as a soldier,” he told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency before sailing. “I hope to be able to assist the campaign by which Polish Jewry and other Jewries benefit.”
