Andre Siegfried, who, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency revealed on July 11, had been invited to lecture before American servicemen at a Red Cross club in Paris, will not do so, Red Cross headquarters here disclosed today.
When the invitation to Siegfried was brought to the attention of the Red Cross by the JTA, a spokesman for the organization said that a high Red Cross official who was then leaving for Paris would investigate the situation. Today, the JTA was informed that this official had sent the following cable from the French capital: “Reference your meme July 11, Siegfried has not spoken Red Cross Club and will not do so.”
