Silent tribute to the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto rebellion in 1943 and the other 6,000,000 Jewish martyrs of the Nazi holocaust was paid here at the building housing the Jewish Agency, the American Zionist Council and many related agencies. All officials of all organizations in the building, as well as professionals and members of the clerical staffs, halted all activity for two minutes. Elevators stopped running and lights were dimmed. The entire building was in mourning.
