After reigning supreme for two years as National Public Parks Tennis Men’s Singles Champion, Arnold Simons, of Louisville, Ky., bowed out as titleholder when he lost in the final round of play to Barnard Welsh, of Washington, D. C., in the all-week tournament finished here today. The scores were 6-4, 6-1, 4-6, 8-6.
Beside the 1933 champion there were thirteen other Jewish players entered in the men’s singles and doubles and women’s singles events.
