A new biochemistry building financed in part by Sir Isaac Wolison, the British Jewish leader, was formally opened by the Imperial College of Science and Technology here today inn the presence of the Queen Mother Elizabeth and other dignitaries. Sir Isaac contributed 350,000 pounds sterling ($980,000) to the structure which cost more than 1,000,000 pounds ($2,800,000) to build.
The new facility will be under the direction of Professor Ernest Boris Chain, the Nobel prize-winning Jewish scientist who is the co-discoverer of penicillin.
