The situation of the Jewish colonies in the Crimea is good, Dr. Joseph A. Rosen, head of the Agrojoint, declared to the representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here upon his return from Crimea. Dr. Rosen, accompanied by Joseph C. Hyman, secretary of the Joint Distribution Committee, made a tour of the colonies.
The situation of the colonists who have been established for three and four years is excellent, Dr. Rosen continued. The winter seeding is completed and they are now preparing for the spring seeding.
Reports from the Ukraine show that the situation there is continuing good. Migration of Ukrainian Jews to the Crimea has ceased. The colonists have been provided with their needs and few have left.
