Six authors residing in Israel, the U.S. France and Argentina have been named recipients of the 1978 Fernando Jeno Literary Prize by the cultural commission of the Central Jewish Committee of Mexico. The annual award was established in 1976 by the family of the late Fernando Jeno who was president of the Committee.
The prizes of $500 each will be presented to Lili Berger of France; Dr. Berl Primer of New York; Simcha Sneh, of Buenos Aires, and Mordechai Shinar, Dr. Nathan Lerner and Binyamin Tamuz, all of Tel Aviv. They were selected by a-panel headed by Sergio Nudelstejer, secretary general of the Central Committee, and Chaim Lazdeiski, secretary. The six prize winners will be honored at a literary reception here on March 13.
