Three more men, one of them a London city fireman, were held here today for hearings before a magistrate next Friday on charges of setting fire to an East London synagogue last July 31. Today’s group of defendants brought the total of those held on that charge to six. The three others were remanded until Friday at preliminary hearings Saturday. Among today’s defendants was Hugh Hughes, 27, who gave his address as a fire station in South London.
