At the invitation of the Ambassador of Israel, the president and national leaders of the United Jewish Appeal, the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds and the bond organization conferred in New York during the week-end on Israel’s financial problems during the year 1952, it was learned here today.
Mrs. Golda Myerson participated in the consultations which were also attended by representatives of the Jewish Agency. Ambassador Abba S. Eban presided. Agreement was reached by the organizations represented on special measures to be taken during the coming six months to assure steadier and higher income for the agencies which have undertaken to mobilize dollar income for Israel.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Eban expressed gratification at the constructive and harmonious atmosphere which had prevailed during the consultations.
