A solemn ceremony atop Mount Herzl today marked the sixtieth anniversary of the death of Theodor Herzl, the “father of political Zionism.”
President Zalman Shazar and Jewish Agency executive chairman Moshe Sharett led a distinguished gathering paying tribute to Herzl’s memory. At the same time, a special exhibition of documents pertaining to the history of Zionism was opened at the Herzl Museum here.
