Slave Traffic Prohibited in Transjordania

Slave trade was prohibited in Transjordania, by an official communique published by the Legislative Council. The communique draws attention to the fact that according to the recently adopted constitution of Transjordania and international agreements, traffic in slaves is prohibited. The officials of the government of Emir Abdullah were urged to fight against slavery.
