The anti-Semitic autonomous Government of Slovakia was reported today to be speeding up the drafting of legislation on the Jews which will introduce a numerous clausus in professions and trade. The laws, it was said, will be based on a compromise between religious and racial anti-Jewish theories. In preparation, the Education Ministry at Bratislava has ordered registration of journalists, writers, actors, architects, composers, singers and others by March 1.
Five-hundred and sixty-two Jewish doctors were stricken from the lists of social insurance practitioners in Slovakia when they were revised Jan. 1, it was revealed.
