A small home made bomb exploded this afternoon on the steps leading down to the Western Wall but no one was injured. Police are investigating. The bomb consisted of 150 grams of explosives placed together with bits of metal, a fuse and time device inside a water flask. The flask was concealed among oranges in a plastic bag. It was spotted by a citizen who alerted a policeman. As the policeman approached the charge went off but he was unhurt, Moments before the explosion the square where the wall is situated was cleared of the many worshippers and visitors.
