Mr. and Mrs. Bernard F. Gimbel of Chieftains, Port Chester, N. Y., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Coral Gimbel to Edward Lasker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert D. Lasker of Lake Forest and Chicago, Ill. Miss Gimbel attended Rosemary Hall, Greenwich, and Mlle. Boissier’s School in Paris, and has spent two winters in Paris studying painting. She is an enthusiastic horse-woman and since childhood has been a familiar figure in the hunting field and at horse shows.
Mr. Jacob D. Lit, a member of a prominent Philadelphia merchant family, was married on November 27 by Judge Joseph L. Kun in City Hall, Philadelphia, to Mrs. Gladys Carruthers Lynch, of New York City. The couple plan to go by steamer to Los Angeles, where the bride’s mother resides.
The marriage of Miss Sondra Arlosoroff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boris Arlosoroff of Breckenridge, Texas, to David Marshall Holtzmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holtzmann of New York, took place on Wednesday at the home of the bride’s cousins, Dr. and Mrs. Leopold Flushak of 271 Central Park West. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Joseph Glushak, uncle of the bride.
Mrs. Harold A. Rosenbaum of 48 West Eighty-fifth street has announced the engagement of her daughter, Miss Leonore Rosenbaum, to James Hess Elkus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abram L. Elkus, of Elkridge, Red Bank, N. J. and 341 Park avenue.
Miss Sophie Fleisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Fleisher will be married to Sidney Tartikoff on Sunday at the East Midwood Jewish Center, Brooklyn, N. Y.
