Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Effron of Poughkeepsie, N. Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Sadie Jane Effron to Dr. Simon H. Cahn of Beacon.
Miss Effron was graduated from Vassar College, class of ’33 and is active in Junior Hadassah work. She is a member of the Southern Dutchess Golf and Country Club and the American Association of University Women.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman D. Moskowitz of 190-37 111th avenue, Hollis, recently celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their wedding. A buffet supper and dance was arranged for the occasion by the sons of the silver groom and bride, Emanuel and Bertram Moskowitz, and the former’s wife. Mr. and Mrs. Moskowitz were married in Brooklyn. They have lived in Hollis nine years and their many charitable activities have won for them the esteem and good wishes of the entire neighborhood.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Ladman of 159-13 South street, Jamaica, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Lillian Ladman to Herman Shapiro of Jamaica, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shapiro of Camden, N. J. The wedding will probably take place in June.
Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Wolfson of Cedarhurst, L. I., announce the marriage on November 24 of their daughter, Miss Rita Estelle Wolfson, to Peter Barnett Cohn, son of Mrs. Martin B. Cohn of this city, and the late Martin B. Cohn, lawyer. The ceremony was performed in Minneola, L. I., by Surrogate Leon C. Howell.
