Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wolf of 146 Central Park West have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Sylvia Shubert Wolf, to Sydney Richard Golde, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Golde of this city.
Miss Wolf was graduated from the Calhoun School. Mr. Golde attended Colgate University.
The wedding will take place in the early Spring.
Miss Dubby Abrams, daughter of Abraham Abrams and the late Mrs. Abrams, was married Tuesday, December 25, in the Pillement Suite of the Waldorf Astoria, to Edward M. Wiener, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wiener of Brooklyn.
The Rev. Dr. Basil officiated. There were no wedding attendants.
Mr. and Mrs. Wiener will go to Bermuda on their wedding trip, and upon their return they will live in this city.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Strauch of 89-34 183rd street, Hollis, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Tuesday, December 25, at a dinner party in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Frank Seidenwurm of Jamaica. They renewed their marriage vows at a ceremony performed by the Rev. Bernard Segel of the Queens Jewish Center. Mrs. Strauch, the former Winnie Hausman, was one of the founders of the Hillside-Hollis Hebrew Center. A host of relatives and guests attended the dinner in honor of the couple.
On Saturday, December 20, Miss Marion Cone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cone of 225 West Eighty-sixth street, was married to Jacques Coleman Nordeman, son of Mrs. Herman F. Nordeman of this city and the late Dr. Nordeman, at the Savoy Plaza. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Samuel H. Goldenson of Temple Emanu-El. A reception followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Nordeman have sailed on the Santa Rosa for Los Angeles, Honolulu and Japan. On their return they will make their home at West Fifty-fifth street.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Titkin of 338 Kingston avenue, Brooklyn, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Lillian Titkin, to Dr. Leon S. Altman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Altman of Brooklyn and Neponsit.
Mr. and Mrs. William Lauer of Springfield, Mass., and Brooklyn, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Helen L. Lauer, to Mr. Michael Gorden, also of this city.
Miss Lauer, who is a graduate teacher, is at present engaged in newspaper work.
