Private Parkins, of the Royal Scots Regiment, died here today of wounds sustained in a clash with an Arab band near Tulkarem Sunday. He is the second British soldier killed in the current disorders.

Following imposition yesterday of a strict censorship on all outgoing press cables, the British press officer summoned the editors of all Jewish and Arab newspapers and appealed to them to exercise the maximum restraint in their reports and comments on the current situation.

A band of 200 Arabs was reported today to have entered Palestine from Syria.
