Some 200,000 persons, Jews and non-Jews, marched almost two miles today from City Hall to Battery Park to protest against the continued jailing and harassment of Soviet Jews and the increased use of anti-Semitism in the Soviet media. Speaker after speaker, as well as the massive audience attending “Solidarity Sunday” for Soviet Jewry pledged to voice its concern for the rights of Soviet Jews.
