Some 800 people gathered Tuesday night at the Shaarei Zion Synagogue in Cots St. Luc at the invitation of the Canadian Zionist Federation to protest the UN anti-Zionist draft. Robert Kaplan, MP for York Center parliamentary secretary to Mare Lalonde, Federal Minister for Health and Social Welfare, denounced the resolution, “I am proud that Canada voted against it. I am proud to be a Zionist.”
