Some 85 percent of French surveyed condemn the Iranian president’s recent call to “wipe Israel off the map,” according to a new poll. Results of the poll, carried out Nov. 8-9 by TNW Sofres at the request of CRIF, the umbrella organization of secular Jewish groups, were released Saturday. In the survey of 1,000 people over age 18, 79 percent said they believed Iran’s nuclear program poses a real threat to the international community.
