Some Belgian lawmakers want Shimon Peres tried for war crimes. The lawmakers are seeking the charges in connection with the Israeli shelling of the Kana U.N. camp in southern Lebanon in 1996, when some 91 Lebanese refugees were killed. Peres was Israel’s prime minister at the time of the incident, for which Israel apologized.
