Some Israelis living abroad now are eligible to receive pensions for social security payments they made before leaving Israel. The Israeli daily Ma’ariv reported that Labor and Social Welfare Minister Shlomo Benizri accepted the recommendation of a committee that Israelis who made national insurance payments for 24 years be eligible to receive the payments.
