The 13th anniversary of the founding of the Order Sons of Zion was celebrated by members and friends who filled the Lexington Theatre last night. Nassi Abraham Schomer president and Nassi-Emeritus Judge Jacob S. Strahl spoke about the duty of American Jews towards Palestine which he said was being handed the Jewish people on a “silver platter”. Artists contributed greatly to the success of the “Bar Mitzwah” Festival, those participating including Rudoiph Schildkraut tragedian, Joseph Boresoff, violinist, Mrs. Schomer Rothenberg, Yiddish folk-song interpreter, David Yuroslavsky, tenor, Mr. and Mrs. Snegoff, who appeared in a scene from “The Jew” by Tchirkoff. The Halevy Singing Society’s Chorus conducted by Elias Wolitsky was warmly received.
