An extradition treaty between Israel and South Africa was signed in Pretoria today by Premier H. F. Verwoerd and Israel’s Minister Itzhak Bavly.
The treaty is retroactive and will facilitate the extradition of certain persons wanted by the South African police and who had fled to Israel. The signing of the treaty was Mr. Bavly’s last official act before returning to Israel later this month after four years as Israel’s Minister here.
