Government party deputies, shocked by the disclosure of German atrocities at the Buchenwald and other camps, suggested today that a delegation of parliamentarians, including several of the nationalist anti-war members, be sent to Germany to inspect the camps. One member urging this said that “that is the only way in which anti-war elements in South Africa can be shown how their ‘friends’ have shocked the world.”
