A hope for a “better future for the Jews and for humanity” was voiced today by Senator H.A. Conroy, Minister of Lands in the government of the Union of South Africa at an impressive banquet opening the annual Keren Hayesod campaign here. Conroy conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Smuts and expressed his own support of a Jewish National Home in Palestine.
A successful campaign is anticipated by Keren Hayesod leaders here, since donors are doubling and tripling their last year’s contributions.
