The 145 delegates from all sections of the country attending the parley adopted resolutions greeting Israel and expressing appreciation of the fact that “all successive Union Governments, including the present government, have given support to the Zionist cause” and that South Africa was “among the first nations to recognize Israel.”
Mrs. Anna Franks, president of the South African Women’s Zionist Council, reviewed the wide ramifications of women’s Zionist efforts in this country and stressed the role which women Zionists in the Union of South Africa played in support of the United Israel Appeal campaign.
