Soviet Approves Ort Plan to Combat Unemployment

The plan for combatting unemployment among the Jewish youth, submitted to the Government by the Ort, society for promoting trades and agriculture among the Jewish population, has been approved by the Comzet.

According to the plan, which provides for converting the Jewish youth of the small towns into qualified workers, the Ort will train 520 Jews as building workers, 75 as technicians, 175 as textile workers, and 275 as electricians. The Ort has also been granted permission to import machinery to be sold privately to the artisans.
