Ivan Melnikov, a Russian citizen accused of participating during World War II in the murder of underground fighters, has been condemned to death by a Soviet Court, according to a dispatch received here today from Moscow.
The man pleaded guilty to having been a member of the Nazi occupation police force. He fled in 1943 when the Soviet Army approached the area in which he was collaborating with the Nazis, but was caught and arrested recently.
