The Soviet Government declined Israel’s invitation to participate in the forthcoming international exhibition “The Conquest of the Desert” which is being planned here, it was revealed today by a spokesman of the Foreign-Ministry. Acceptances have been received from 12 West European countries, he said.
At the same time it was announced today by the Israel Radio that the Soviet Union will this year buy 600,000 cases of citrus fruit from Israel valued at about 1,000,000 Israeli pounds.
