The Soviet delegation at the United Nations today submitted a proposal to the Special Political Committee calling for disbanding of the U.N. Palestine Conciliation Commission. The text of the proposal reads:
“Considering that the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine has proved incapable of discharging its duty of settling the disputes between the parties in Palestine, the General Assembly resolves to terminate the Conciliation Commission for Palestine.” Soviet delegate Semyon K. Tsarapkin also moved delegation of all reference to the Commission in other proposals before the Committee.
