Soviet Jewish wives and mothers now living in Israel appealed to delegates at the World Conference of the International Woman’s Year to intervene on behalf of their husbands and sons who have been refused permission to emigrate from the Soviet Union, the National Conference on Soviet Jewry reported Thursday. The World Conference, under the auspices of the United Nations, opened in Mexico City Thursday and brought together women from all over the world.
