The Soviet-Polish repatriation agreement, which previously had been reported as expiring at the end of March, has been extended again until the end of June, according to reports received here today.
Some 14, 000 Jews have returned to Poland under the agreement, and the continuing flow is expected to include additional returning Jews. According to the reports, there had been such a rush of applications before the March 31 expiration date, that it was decided that Poles who had applied before the deadline would be considered as covered by the agreement.
It was also decided that Poles who had not applied for repatriation by March still would be able to seek return to Poland under the extension.
