The large number of German Jews who have come into Spain in recent weeks has obliged the Spanish Government to clamp the first of what may be a series of restrictions against further Jewish immigration from Germany.

The Spanish Government has just announced that beginning Thursday, Spanish visas would be required by all German refugees wishing to make their homes in Spain. This formerly had been unnecessary.

At the time of the first drive against the Jews the Spanish Embassy in Berln displayed on its gates a poster inviting Jews to make Spain their home.
