Warsaw, representatives of the Joint Distribution Committee of New York were served notice today by the Minister of Interior that its work must be wound up by the first of the year when the Committee is to leave Poland.
Intimation that the Jewish relief workers would be asked to withdraw was had sometime ago, the Committee’s officers subsequently being assured, however, that no time limit for the liquidation of their work had been set.
The Minister’s order is said, in the Jewish relief workers quarters, to have come as a complete surprise.
