unclear ### Including the older collectives, this made a total of 160 Jewish agricultural collectives in White Russia. 22 more Jewish collectives have been formed since, and another 372 Jews have been settled on individual farms. Altogether 1,519 Jews have been settled on the land in White Russia during the period.

This year 7,000 more desiatin of land will be allocated for Jewish land settlement. 5,000 desiatin of the best quality and 2,000 desiatin of semibest quality.

The agricultural work, the Vice Minister declares, is being carried on intensive lines. Cattle-breeding and dairy-farming are being developed satisfactorily. The cows on the Jewish farms yield more milk than the cows on the non-Jewish farms.

The Vice-Minister points out that owing to the scarcity of land, the Jews are being given swampy areas which require amelioration and immense labor before they can be sown; nevertheless the Jews are giving good results, their farms are model farms and their products are of the first quality.
