Mrs. Nathan Strauss, prominent ###ooklyn philanthropy, died suddenly yesterday morning of a heart attack at her home, 401 Park Place.
Mrs. Strauss had not previously been ill and celebrated her forty-ninth birthday last Tuesday. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Minnie Goldstein, widow of Elias A. Goldstein, and a daughter, Helen, who is Mrs. Joseph Hamburger of Brooklyn.
Mrs. Strauss was president of the women’s auxiliary of the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn from 1927 to 1932. She was a director of the Hospital Training School for Nurses, past president of the Tubercular Aid Society, past president of the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Elchim, director of the women’s division of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities, and active in the Federated Jewish Women’s Clubs.
Funeral services will be held today.
