Will in B. Leaf of Philadelphia as appointed by Louis Lipsky, President of the Zionist Organization of American to formulate a plan of reorganization which would be used as a mood plan in all the Zionist regions in America.
After a study of two months a plan was submitted by Mr. Leaf and is associated.
The plan calls for the merger it all Palestine endeavor in Eastern Pemsyivania, Southern New Jersey and Delaward into one organization Bebjamin Schwartz. Executive Director of the Regional United Palestine Appeal is to be the Executive Director of the entire unit.
The plan provides that the Zionist District of Philadelphia shall remain as at present constituted enjoying the autonomous rights as quaranteed is the Constitution of the Zionist Organization of America.
I. Irving Lipsiteh, Executive Director of the Federation of Jewish Welfare Organization of Los Angeles, was appointed one of the members of the Campaign Council of Three of the Community Chest of that city. The other two members are the General Manager of the Chest and the Financial Secretary of the Orthopoedic Foundation. The Campaign Council has the respect sibility for securing $2,750,000 in the Campaign which will commence October 31, as the Minimum Subsistent Budget for the support of 150 organizations.
An effort will be made to secure at Honor Goal which will include all amounts given by subscribers in excess of their previous subscriptions.
The Jewish Federation, its constituent societies and other Jewish organizations received $462,000 last year. Order the leadership of Ben R Mayer banker of this city, the Jewish population of los Angeles increased their individual subscriptions to the community Chest so that the total amount contributed by them is in the neighborhood of $600,000.
Rabbi Louis Wolsey of Philadelphia will be one of the speakers at the Twelfth Annual International Good will congress to be held under the auspices of the World Alliance for international Friendship through the churches The congress will be held in St. Louis November 9 to 11.
