Rep. John W. McCormack, Speaker of the House of Representatives, will receive tomorrow a hand-carved desk, a gift of Israeli students at Boys Town in Jerusalem. The desk, which was carved by Boys Town students, is being presented to the Speaker in appreciation of his support for an allocation of 50, 000 Israeli pounds in United States counterpart funds in Israel for the vocational school’s program.
Ira Guilden, New York industrialist and read of the American Committee for Boys Town, will make the presentation in the Speaker’s Capitol office. The committee has set a goal of $3, 000, 000 to expand the school’s facilities to accommodate 1, 000 boys. Half of them would be boarding students. The school now has 350 students.
